Harvest PR takes new client seriously

Abbots Bromley - based Harvest PR, the environmental public relations specialists, have been appointed to represent Serious ** waste management contractors.

Serious** who design, install and maintain domestic and commercial sewage and waste water systems, have been flying the environmental flag for best practice in dealing with non-hazardous waste for nine years and are now expanding their client base throughout the Midlands and the North West.

David Birkett, who runs Serious** with his wife Joanna, said: "We decided it was about time we let a wider audience know about the exciting developments at Serious**. We are particularly delighted that Harvest is going to be taking on the task because of their interest in the environment, which is an aspect of our work we feel very strongly about."

Shirley Mann, who runs Harvest PR, said: "Serious ** particularly appealed to us because they have a sense of humour about the very efficient and professional service that they provide. Waste is an issue that we all have to deal with but it can be done without causing lasting damage to the environment. Their expertise is something we feel we can shout about."

Serious** changed its name from Envirotech to reflect their attitude to the work that they do, but also to raise awareness, even a smile among its customers.

David Birkett added: "The two asterisks are key because from that we can have some fun with slogans such as '**it happens' and 'we love **it'. We look forward to working with Harvest to get the professional yet human message about our business across to the wide range of large corporate as well as individual customers."

Harvest PR was started by Shirley Mann four years ago, after a career in journalism, mostly in the BBC where she was Environment Producer and worked for Countryfile. Among other clients, the firm represents the Countryside Agency and the national firm of solicitors, Russell Jones & Walker.
