New Managing Director is ‘serious’ about his new role
11th July 2018
Serious have taken the next step in strengthening their management team by appointing Jeremy Proctor as Managing Director. This follows the retirement of Graham Sparkes who’s contribution to the business over the previous 3 years has set the business on course for continued growth and expansion. Graham is taking up a non-executive role.
Serious Waste Management Ltd specialises in installing, maintaining and emptying off mains sewage and grease management systems with 6 depots across the UK. Jeremy joined the company last year as Financial Controller with an impressive background including senior financial and operational roles, spanning banking, finance, manufacturing as well as waste management.
Jeremy said: “I am very excited about my new role in Serious. It’s a forward thinking company with a great ethos and some promising opportunities on the horizon. Since I've been with the Serious, I've really enjoyed getting to know the team and our customers, and look forward to building on the great work Graham has done.”
Serious owner, David Birkett said: "This is a key time for Serious so I'm delighted to formally announce Jeremy Proctor as Managing Director and Graham’s successor. “
David added: “In Jeremy we've already seen his experience and vision bring some great ideas that are already impacting on Serious' future."
In his spare time Jeremy loves his sport and is a keen historian. Jeremy and his partner Teresa live in Leicestershire with their 3 children.
